The idea is to create a web based video content managment system that can offer high quality video to virutally any client.

 This is the first draft of an RFP [sort of] that details how we plan to go about it.

I head a web applications company that specializes in open source content management systems that use the Drupal framework. [Information on Drupal] We currently provide programming expertise and consulting for businesses that need advanced CMS functionality. The work cuts across almost all modern web 2.0 needs. Examples include: creating mini Youtubes; allowing users to leave audio comments using their browser mics; on-line video podcast editing; advance user rating system and community content creation.

The mugshot module allows social networking sites to have near real time image posting by the users without the need to install a media server.

The users just click and their web cams or attached camera can snap a photo which is imediately uploaded and placed in the site.

Its allot of fun.

The styled-blocks module allow the admins to apply css to blocks without altering the actual css file. Its a very nice feature to allow design to stay integrated and provide flexiblity for the site admins.

 I started my web life in the late 90s by co founding a
company
that was an early entrant in the race to achieve cable or DVD quality
video over standard broadband. We figured out how to reliably stream
Divx and got major funding from a Telco that needed a way to demo their
future plans which included fiber everywhere.  They needed to lay fiber
to deliver this high quality video to the world.  There were some flaws
